Our first destination was the Tillamook Cheese Factory. In there, we were offered free samples of various types of cheeses and brownies. There is also a self guided tour with bird's eye view of their cheese making and packaging teams in action. It was a great experience for all of us.
Next, we went to Blue Heron Cheese Company, where we saw a big area of farm, a vintage farm equipment and a petting zoo where guests can feed and pet the farm animals.
Lovely craft works
Free Sampling of jams and honey
Would you eat these ?
Our next destination was to visit the Cape Meares Lighthouse but unfortunately the road leading to it was closed. So we left Tillamook town and drove to Garibaldi, a fishing village in Tillamook county. We were interested to visit the Garibaldi Marina. There we saw few families leisurely fishing at the pier but we were told there were no fish so far.
There was a restaurant just beside the pier and we went in to try its fish&chip. Fish was fresh, the coating was crispy and not to mention the chips :). We all liked it very much.
After our meals, we hung around for a little while to enjoy the beautiful scenery before heading for our last destination. We love Cannon Beach so much that we wanted to go back again since weather wasn't good when we visited last week. We reached the beach just in time to watch sunset. Lovely..
The scenery at the beach is so beautiful! Nice photos of all of you enjoying the serene beach. Not many people there - I guess it was cold.
ReplyDeleteIt was cold and almost sunset, so I guess that's why not many people
