I have been down with coughs and phlegm for the past 2 weeks or more. Have gotten the flu virus from Emily. Hubby also contracted the virus but has recovered sooner than myself. Unfortunately I have also passed on the virus to Jared, not through the BM but through physical contacts. Have taken him to his PD twice but I have stopped giving him cough syrups and instead resorted to Phak Phor powder from Eu Yan Sang, it seems to be effective to remove phlegm, runny nose and coughs. I am also relying on BM to pass on my antibodies to him. It is a pity to see him coughing and amazingly he can still smile after his coughs, LOL… He was supposed to get his vaccination last Sunday but I had to postpone the appointment due to his current condition.
For the past 2 days, for whatever reason, he would cry each time we put him in his car seat when we bring him home in the evening from my babysitter’s house. And he would scream and cry the moment he entered our apartment. He was inconsolable no matter what we did. It took about 5-10 minutes before he would calm down and then fell asleep. Hubby and I are still cracking our heads trying to figure out what has caused him to act in this manner. I suspect he has started to show anxiety as I was told by my babysitter that he would cry when another aunty carried him. I never thought anxiety would start as early as his age but again every baby is different.
My milk supply has slightly increased and he is now fully on BM during the daytime and one fomula feeding in the early mornings. His intake is 4.5-5oz per 2.5-3 hours. He is also sleeping through the night, only waking up at ~5am for feeding, his last feeding is at ~9pm.
