Emily's Grade 2 Ballet Exam

Yesterday was Emily's Grade 2 ballet examination day. She has been attending ballet lessons in the new centre for the past eight months. The exam was held in the afternoon session, so she had to miss the 1st half classes in school. I didn't take any time off to accompany her as the school principal discouraged parents from hanging around to avoid any disturbances, so I left her there and went to pick her up again after the exam.

Today she was very excited to attend her usual class as teacher told her that she will be learning grade 3 steps.

Got this photo from her team mate's parent.

Leisurely Walk At the Dam

Last Saturday we went to Air Itam Dam for an evening walk. It has been awhile since the last time I visited this place but is the first for hubby and the kids. There is a walking path with a distance of 2.8km around the dam. It was lovely walking under the trees and the kids got to see many types of plants and insects. There were also monkeys at certain spots. One of them tried to come near to Jared when he walk passed them, but hubby quickly carried him away. Looks like monkey also has the concept of "buli kecil". When we reached the other side of the dam, we were able to catch a good view of Georgetown, unfortunately it was kind of hazy on that day.

Jango, My Great Companion

Jango sounds like a name of a dog or some cute animals but no, is not any of those. It's a social internet radio that was recommended to me by my boss. I must say it is really a great website and has been keeping me company whenever I am on my laptop these days. Unfortunately it cannot be accessed from the office :(
I get to listen to all my favourite songs and artists and it is also intelligent enough to replay songs and artists that I have chosen previously each time I entered this website. There maybe others but I like JANGO.

Here's What He Has to Say

The other day while Jared was in the car with me, I accidentally poured some water on his pants. He started to complain that his pant is wet, when I told him he can wipe it dry, here's what he had to say.

Jared : I am going to wipe mummy away
Mummy : If you wipe mummy away, who is going to cook porridge and make milk for you ?
Jared : I ask daddy cook for me
Mummy : Daddy is in US, cannot cook for you
Jared : Then I cook for myself and make milk for myself.
Mummy : Speechless !!!!

Sigh.. seems like this kid tak boleh diharap la next time...

A Whole New World with Disney On Ice

Emily and I have been so looking forward to this day, we were at Pisa Stadium this morning to watch the Disney on Ice, themed Let's Celebrate. Unfortunately hubby is away, we also left Jared with his babysitter for a few hours, didn't think I would be able to handle them both and at the same time enjoy the show. Sorry Jared, mummy will bring you along next time.
There were so many spectacular performances put up by the various Disney characters, like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Cinderalla, Mulan, Sleeping Beauty and many more. Emily simply enjoyed every moment of it as she adores all the Disney characters and there she was telling me all the names of the characters which appeared out there. As for me, I just loved the way they skated.
As we were too mesmerized with the intense performances, the 1 hour 30mins duration seemed to pass by so fast, wish it had been a longer show :)
