This evening, we had a pre-CNY steamboat dinner at my brother's place. Both adults and kids had a great time savouring all the delicious food. Thanks to dad and mum for preparing most of the stuffs.

Bak Kut Teh for Lunch
I was feeling lazy to prepare lunch today. Fortunately I still have a packet of bak kut teh ingredients given by Jared's babysitter. I added pork, enoki mushrooms, dried black mushrooms, meatballs, fried bean curd and hard-boiled eggs. Blanched vegetables, added with oyster sauce. Everyone had a fulfilling lunch...

Emily - Primary 4
Emily is in primary 4 this year where she will be in the morning session. She has been really excited about the 1st day of school, not so much of starting school but eagerly wanting to use her trolley school bag..
With only a single car in our household, we have to let her commute to school by the school van which comes at around 640am. It has been a week since school started and we are still on time to catch the van, crossing fingers my alarm clock does not fail to function every morning.
With this arrangement, it is less hectic for us as we only need to send Jared to his kindy before heading to work.

Welcoming 2013
It is the 1st day of the year. Except for Jared, we all slept passed 9am. Then hubby decided to bring the kids out for a roti canai breakfast, their favourites.
It was almost noon by the time we finished our breakfast. We took the kids to the playground and they had some fun there. I was just telling hubby this morning, maybe it is GOD's gift that Emily still acts very playfully, therefore with an age gap of 6 years they both can still play together quite well, with occasional arguments, of course J
When we reached home, I prepared a simple lunch, tuna tortilla wrap, for the kids. We still have plenty of leftover food from last night's BBQ at Jared's babysitter's house.
Tomorrow the new school term will begin.
