I Miss You..

On most Saturdays, hubby becomes chauffer of the day, sending Emily here and there for her tuitions. While I was busy preparing lunch and doing house chores, Jared will be playing with his toys, occasionally he will come and asked me, "where is daddy ?" and I will be explaining to him that daddy has to fecth jie jie to her tuitions.
This morning, they went out early in the morning and only came back during noon time. Jared must have felt the absence of daddy. When hubby stepped into the house,

Jared : Daddy, where you go ?
Daddy : Went to fetch jie jie
Jared : Daddy, I miss you....

He must have really missed daddy so much :) Daddy is also his best play mate. This evening when I was out chauffering Emily to her ballet class, I was told that both of them had so much fun at the pool area, Jared cycled and he made daddy chased after him like a monster.

Kids' Updates

Tonight Jared enjoyed playing with his toy trains on his own. He even pretended to speak like Thomas and the Fat Controller. Then he pestered me to read him some stories from his Thomas story books.
With his cheeky expressions...

An update of Emily's progress in playing piano.

Short Getaway

Last weekend, we took the kids to visit their grandma back at hubby's hometown since it was school holiday and also coincided with a public holiday on Saturday.
We reached KL around noon time and headed straight to The Curve and Ikea.

MIL had already prepared dinner for us by the time we reached home in the evening where she cooked our favourite "dark sauce pork belly" dish, the best I have ever tasted.
The next morning after breakfast, we brought the kids to the Botanic Park at Putrajaya and had a leisurely walk. Even though it was scorching hot, they enjoyed themselves looking at the various types of plants and flowers.

The were plenty of fish in this lake. The Malay guy was kind enough to give Emily and Jared a piece of bread to feed the fish.
