US Trip 2013 - Visit to Oregon Zoo on ThanksGiving Day

On Thanksgiving Day, all the shopping outlets or tourist spots are closed. Since the zoo is one of the few places still open and weather was great, we decided to bring the kids there using the TriMet because discounts will be given if we go there by train.
We reached there around 10+am and there were already many people who came for the Thanksgiving fund raising run which started early in the morning. 
The zoo covers a very big forested area, 64 acres. We were a little disappointed as there were not many animals and no animal shows or events like the other zoos that we have visited. However it was still a good experience for the kids.
